Upcoming Fee Adjustment – Effective 1st July, 2026

As part of our ongoing commitment to providing high-quality psychological care, there will be a scheduled adjustment to our session fees starting 1st July 2026.

This update reflects increases in operational costs and allows us to continue delivering safe, evidence-based, and personalised support to our clients. The APS Schedule of Recommended Fees 2026-207 has the standard consultation fee of $330. At Seed of Hope Psychology we aim to provide a more affordable service with competitive fees. 

Please note the following updated fees for 50 minutes indiviudal therapy session private fees & those utilising a Mental Health Care Plan:  

New Fees (from 1st July):

  • Dr Cher McGillivray – Principal Clinical Psychologist
    PhD, MPscych(Clin), PGradDipPsyych., GDipPsych, MAPS, MACPA
    $310.00 – Gap fee of $160.95 after Medicare rebate ($149.05)
  • Emily Udodzik – Clinical Psychologist Registrar
    Mpsych(ClinPsych), GDipPsySc, BA(Psych)
    $260.00 – Gap fee of $158.45 after Medicare rebate ($101.55)
  • Madeline Graham – Psychologist
    MPsych(Prof), BPsychSc(Hons)
    $260.00 – Gap fee of $158.45 after Medicare rebate ($101.55)
  • EMDR Therapy with Madeline Graham & Emily Udodzik
    $290.00 – Gap fee of $188.45 after Medicare rebate ($101.55)

Psychological Assessments

Assessment fees vary depending on the individual. Please contact us for assessment prices.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

Seed of Hope Psychology accepts plan-managed and self-managed NDIS participants. There are no-out-of pocket expenses for treatment under NDIS.

Mental Health Care Plans

If you have a referral from a GP or a psychiatrist for a Mental Health Treatment Plan you will be eligible to receive a Medicare rebate of $101.55 – $149.05 for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. In order to obtain the Mental Health Treatment Plan you simply need to make an appointment with your GP who will assess your eligibility.

To be able to claim the Medicare rebate for your session you will need to bring a copy of your Mental Health Treatment Plan to your first appointment or provide via email. Rebates will be processed at the end of each session, which take 2-3 business days to return into your Medicare designated account.

NDIS Clients

We do accept NDIS funding and referrals for psychology & psychological services including reporting writing. Our service NDIS fees are in line with the 2026-2027 NDIS Pricing Arrangements of $252.99 per hour, inclusive of 10 minutes administration time.

Private Clients

You do not require a referral to make an appointment with a psychologist at Seed of Hope Psychology, and are able to pay the private session fee.

Private Health Insurance

Private health insurance rebates may be utiliesed under your private health insurance policy. Rebate amounts and the number of eligible sessions vary between health funds and levels of cover. For specific details, please check with your provider.

Private Health Funding

Private Health funds also offer psychological counselling as extras cover that you may be entitled to a partial rebate. Each fund varies therefore to obtain information on your cover please contact your insurance provider.

Please note, you are unable to claim from Medicare and your private health fund for the same consultation.

Workers Compensation

Seed of Hope Psychology provides psychological services under WorkCover Queensland to support your recovery and return-to-work process following a workplace injury. A GP referral is needed to access these services. If your treatment is approved through WorkCover, you will not incur any personal expenses for your sessions.

Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA)

We are registered with the Department of Veterans Affairs to provide services to eligible Veteran Card Holders (Gold and White Cards) with a referral from your GP, medical specialist, or treating hospital. There are no out of pocket expenses for treatment under the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Bulk Billing

We are a private billing clinic and consultations with our team will incur an out-of-pocket or gap fee payment. If you are experiencing financial hardship and would like to discuss a reduced fee arrangement, please contact our team prior to making an appointment. Hardship arrangements may be offered to clients who are in genuine need of psychological support and who are experiencing significant financial hardship.

Redress

Seed of Hope Psychology are registered as Redress Practitioners. There will be no out of pocket or gap fee payments required for assessment or therapy sessions.

Cancellation Policy

Understandably, clients may sometimes miss appointments due to other commitments and emergencies. However, where possible, more than 24 hours’ notice is required to avoid cancellation fees.

For less than 24 hours’ notice, the full fee of the session will be charged. This is not a penalty to the individual but to protect the clinician’s time. Clients under the Mental Health Treatment Plan cannot access a Medicare rebate for cancellation or non-attended sessions, and the full fee will be required to pay privately.
