Mental Health Care Plans

If you have a referral from a GP or a psychiatrist for a Mental Health Treatment Plan you will be eligible to receive a Medicare rebate of $98.95 to $145.25 per session for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. In order to obtain the Mental Health Treatment Plan you simply need to make an appointment with your GP who will assess your eligibility.

To be able to claim the Medicare rebate for your session you will need to bring a copy of your Mental Health Treatment Plan to your first appointment or provide via email. Rebates will be processed at the end of each session, which take 2-3 business days to return into your Medicare designated account.

NDIS Clients

We do accept NDIS funding and referrals for psychology & psychological services including reporting writing. Our service NDIS fees are in line with the 2025-2026 NDIS Pricing Arrangements of $232.99 per hour, inclusive of 10 minutes administration time.

Private Clients

You do not require a referral to make an appointment with a psychologist at Seed of Hope Psychology, and are able to pay the private session fee.

Private Health Funding

Private Health funds also offer psychological counselling as extras cover that you may be entitled to a partial rebate. Each fund varies therefore to obtain information on your cover please contact your insurance provider.

Please note, you are unable to claim from Medicare and your private health fund for the same consultation.

Cancellation Policy

Understandably, clients may sometimes miss appointments due to other commitments and emergencies. However, where possible, more than 24 hours’ notice is required to avoid cancellation fees.

For less than 24 hours’ notice, the full fee of the session will be charged. This is not a penalty to the individual but to protect the clinician’s time. Clients under the Mental Health Treatment Plan cannot access a Medicare rebate for cancellation or non-attended sessions, and the full fee will be required to pay privately.
